My sixth project. The brief was to visualize a small building in a believable environment using matte painting. In other words, this project was made in Photoshop alone - with only a base in 3D for the building. In this project, the most important thing was the choice of composition. We were assigned to come up with sketches of different suggestions of colors and mood. The choice was then for the classmates to decide.
My concept was inspired by the Norwegian fjords and mountains, with a observatory/hiking lodge located on the edge of a cliff. Since the winner sketch was of a "winter theme", I was aiming for a snow covered landscape in a blue hour kind of light.
