My third project. The brief was to find an exsisting chair to build and texture in 3D. The lesson of it all was to learn the importance of custom built objects. Even though there is many 3D models provided online, you still might have to create some models yourself. We were to deliver four different visualizations - one in a studio setting, one advertisement in either an abstract- or lifestyle setting, one detail close-up and finally one wireframe image.
I chose to build the Karimoku Case Study: Lounge Chair, from the Kinuta collection by Norm Architects and Keiji Ashizawa Design. A classic safari chair with a free-hanging seat and simple details. It comes in different sets of materials, and I chose to use the model in pure oak and canvas.
Project lenght: 2 weeks
Softeware used: 3ds Max, Corona Render, Photoshop
Modelled elements: Structure (studio and advertisement), lounge chair
