My fifth project. The brief was to model a villa, based on drawings and floorplans provided by Alingsås Huspaket. We were to create attractive and accurate images of the villa and place it somewhere in Scandinavia. Some artristic freedom was given when it comes to choice of ligh and materials. For this project we were introduced to some new tools - Forest pack and Rail Clone, to create a suitable 3D environment for the villa. We also got to use V-ray instead of Corona as a renderer.

I chose a classic "turn of the century"- house, where the materials and surrounding area was inspired by the Swedish province of Dalsland. I wanted to create this very classic type of house, in a slightly untraditional set of materials. The traditional wooden facade was something I wanted to preserve, but in a iron vitriol treated wood. This in harmony with a red brick roof and red windows and doors.
As many houses in Dalsland I wanted to place this villa at the edge of the forest, close to nature. With a big backyard surrounded by a mix of trees and greenery.

Project lenght: 3 weeks
Softeware used: 3ds Max, Forest Pack, Rail Clone, Chaos scatter, V-ray Renderer, Photoshop
Modelled elements: The whole villa (except from the guttering), flowerboxes, the structure of the landscape/ surrounding area
